I am really enamored with the wideouts in this year's draft. I think this should be the year that teams grab one even if they aren't absolute necessities.
The Eagles don't have a TRUE position of need, so I think they should grab a wideout, perhaps.
Salisbury is talking about the Eagles possibly rushing McNabb back. Do they need a QB? Michael Smith smartly says no. A QB here is supposed to start fairly soon, and that won't happen in Philly.
The clock has stopped. Who's the pick? Kevin Kolb, QB out of Houston! That's the third atrocious pick of the day. Mark it down.
Ted Ginn Jr.--10 picks too early
Craig Davis--1.5 rounds too early
Kevin Kolb--1 round too early
Inexcusable.
Chicago on the clock with 7 minutes.
What a weird pick that was. And they don't need a QB. So stupid.
Trade! San Diego moves into Chicago's spot.
3.5 minutes.
What will they go for? The clock has stopped. The pick is...Eric Weddle, safety outta Utah.
Pretty good pick. He's a good player, very fast.
Trade details for San Diego/Chicago:
Bears get: 2, 3, 5, and a 3rd in '08 for giving San Diego their second.
Raiders select Zach Miller, TE Arizona.
