6:15

6 minutes left for the defending champion Colts.

Branch is the perfect pick here. He's a bit of a risk, but it's one they can afford because they are such a good team. They could also go CB here, maybe with Chris Houston.

Berman suggests a slot receiver. Mel responds with Steve Smith or Anthony Gonzalez.

But you need defensive help here; the pick should be Branch or Houston.

The clock has stopped. The pick is...Anthony Gonzalez.

I disagree, but he is certainly in the Colts mold. They just replaced Brandon Stokley with somebody who is like Stokley on steroids.

It's just been announced that this is the longest first round in the history of the NFL Draft. Yeah. Over six hours.

SECOND ROUND

The Colts have never been big on defense.

Branch has really slid. His name was being bantered around as a top-10 pick early on because of his massive potential, but he's a second-rounder now. Posluszny and David Harris are a couple of other guys I thought would be first rounders.

Here are the final picks of the first round:

21. Jaguars, Nelson.
22. Browns, Quinn.
23. Chiefs, Bowe.
24. Patriots, Meriweather.
25. Panthers, Beason.
26. Cowboys, Spencer.
27. Saints, Meachem.
28. Niners, Staley.
29. Ravens, Grubbs.
30. Chargers, Davis.
31. Bears, Olsen.
32. Colts, Gonzalez.

Arizona has traded with Oakland to move into the first pick of the second round.

The clock has stopped for them but the pick has not yet been announced.

Here it is: Alan Branch. The Cardinals obviously realized that Branch was slipping and they wanted to grab him before anybody else did.

Trade! Buffalo moves into Detroit's spot.

6 minutes for the Bills.
