The Steelers have their pick in! This is exciting!
Lawrence Timmons is the pick. Drew Rosenhaus is his agent. Uh oh.
Ideal for the 3-4, Mel says. He can really rush the passer.
Green Bay on the clock. 10.5 minutes.
And.........Brady Quinn's name comes up again. They have to answer the same question Minnesota did: Are we sold on our young QB? In Green Bay's case, it's Aaron Rodgers, another guy who, after losing out on the No. 1 spot, fell dramatically.
They were probably hoping for Lynch here, or possibly Ginn, but those guys are gone. There are other good WR's.
Quinn interview. Solid kid. He's dealing with this very well. He has no inkling whatsoever of what is going to happen to him.
4 minutes.
I like Robert Meachem and Dwayne Jarrett a good deal more than the other WR's in this draft. That's where I think you have to go here if you're Green Bay.
2 minutes.
The guys are kind of devaluing the draft by talking about how it's OK for Quinn that he's slipping.
Clock is stopped. Meachem or Bowe?
The pick is...Justin Harrell! Another upset!
I like this pick. He's good. They probably should have gone WR, though. Maybe they figured they could pick up a Steve Smith/Anthony Gonzalez type guy in the second round.
Jacksonville is on the clock. I'm hoping they go Brady Quinn, for two reasons:
1. They should. He's the best player here.
2. If they go WR, which they might, that would mean less playing time for my boy Ernest Wilford.
