They flashed to Landry picking up the phone and doing a tough looking celebration.

Nice pick.

Sports Illustrated said in an article earlier this year that Johnson, Quinn, and Peterson would be the top three picks. Then again, they also said that Troy Smith would be the No. 2 overall pick, so they aren't exactly experts with the draft.

Minnesota on the clock, with about 12 minutes left.

Peterson is probably the odds on favorite here, even though Minnesota has Chester Taylor.

Ronnie Brown, Cadillac Williams, and Cedric Benson all went in the top 5 a couple of years ago, and I would take Peterson over all of them. He is absolutely stupendous.

It's going to be either Quinn or Peterson. It comes down to whether or not Minny is sold with Tavaris Jackson as their QB of the future. I really don't know a whole lot about the kid. I would be overjoyed if Peterson fell to Atlanta, even though that's not their biggest position of need.

My gut feeling is that Minnesota will go with Peterson though, and Quinn will go to Miami at No. 9.

The clock has stopped. The pick must be in. Peterson is fielding a call, he must be the man.

Here it is: Peterson. Dynamite selection. The Vikings fans are overjoyed.

Atlanta is on the clock.
