I just realized the Falcons are screwed. Here were their top 4 guys going in:
1. Johnson
2. Landry
3. Brown
4. Peterson

And they're all gone! The Falcons are my NFC team! Who?

Smith says they should trade down, obviously. They HAVE to. They're stuck with Jamaal Anderson or Amobi Okoye if they don't move down.

8 minutes.

6.

What you must do well as an NFL GM is understand the ramifications of the picks above you. For instance, when Cleveland took Joe Thomas, Atlanta had to predict that the final corollary is that Landry, Brown, and Peterson were not there at No. 8. They should have been working on a trade.

The clock has stopped. PLEASE tell me that they have a trade!

No. They take Jamaal Anderson. Geez. As closely as I follow college football, and I hadn't heard of him until the season was over. And he's the Falcons' first pick?

Atlanta was the first team to get screwed in terms of having every single guy they really liked not be there when they picked.

I think a deal didn't get done because other teams knew that the Falcons had nothing at No. 8 and subsuquently didn't offer them enough in return.

Miami has about 11 minutes on the clock. This could be the fastest pick yet.

Nope. 7 minutes.
